Double-sided magnetic knife stand
An arched black walnut slab, 300mm wide and 420mm tall, glued up from two boards with the grain running across, tenoned upright into a heavy walnut foot, with rows of rare-earth magnets hidden 3mm under both faces. It holds a dozen knives of any length on two sides in a 340 x 200mm footprint at the end of an island, with no slots to trap crumbs or dull an edge, and the blades never knock together in a drawer.
Passes Crava's checks for fit, strength and stability. Change any size, the wood or the finish in the app, and it is checked again.
