• Maple two-step storage stool A sturdy two-step kitchen stool in oiled hard maple, 450mm wide and 400mm deep, that reaches the top cupboards and stores what a cupboard would: the top step lifts on a soft-close stay to a box for cloths and bags, and the bottom step shelters an open cubby for a basket. It replaces both a folding ladder and a drawer in a kitchen with neither to spare, and doubles as a seat for small helpers.
• Cherry plate rack wall A cottage kitchen wall boarded in sage tongue-and-groove, hung with an oiled cherry plate rack - plates standing between rows of dowels, a shelf for bowls, a brass mug rail and a scooped cornice - beside two cherry shelves on cove-cut brackets, over a Shaker peg rail.
• Upright cutting-board rack A white oak rack with five swept dividers housed in a solid base: two 60mm bays for chunky chopping blocks and two 45mm bays for thin boards and trays, tied together at the back by a through dowel. Boards stand on edge where both faces dry in the air instead of sweating in a stack, and any one lifts straight out without unstacking the rest - four boards in 400mm of counter.
