Walnut slatted shoe bench
A slatted entry bench only 300mm deep, so it fits a hallway that is barely wider than the front door swing: a seat for pulling boots on over two airy racks that hold eight pairs of shoes and let them dry. Oiled walnut slats are tenoned into arched end boards, and a middle partition keeps the seat stiff enough for two adults.
