• Long cherry charcuterie plank A metre-long cherry grazing plank, 300mm wide and 22mm thick, with a rounded tab handle shaped into each end and two battens let into sliding dovetails underneath. The battens keep a long, thin board flat for years - glued only at their centres, they let the cherry move across its width without cupping or cracking - and lift it 15mm so fingers get under the tabs to carry a full spread down the middle of the table.
• Smoked oak trestle table A 2200mm trestle dining table in smoked white oak: wide board uprights on chamfered feet and top bearers, tied by a single deep stretcher, every joint draw-bored with oak pegs instead of glued, under a 38mm top with nothing at the corners to knock a knee on, so eight sit easily.
• Bread board with a lift-out crumb grate A 480 x 300mm bread board in two parts: a shallow walnut tray with a floating bottom, and a lift-out grate of nine maple slats on two battens that drops over locating pins inside it. Every crumb from a crusty loaf falls between the slats instead of across the table; lift the grate off and tip the tray over the bin, and the tray alone doubles as a serving tray.
