Walnut hand-tool armoire

A walnut tool armoire for a hand-tool shop: eight graduated drawers for planes and boxes below, and above, a shallow case whose deep doors are boxes themselves, lined with French cleats so squares, gauges, drivers and hammers hang on the doors and saws, planes and chisels behind them. Every holder lifts off and moves; the whole kit stands in a metre of wall.

• Mobile table saw base with outfeed A petrol-blue rolling base that sinks a jobsite saw into a well so its table is dead flush with an oak-edged wing, with fence rails run across the wing for 900mm rips. A leaf folds up behind on locking brackets as outfeed and drops flat when it parks; the dust bin drawer sits right under the blade and four drawers hold blades and jigs.
• Garage bike and garden wall Two bikes, the long-handled garden tools, boots and helmets off the garage floor and onto 2.4m of dove-grey wall: bikes hang by the front wheel with their rear tyres resting on an oak bumper strip so the paint stays clean, spades and rakes stand head-up through a slotted oak rail, and a slatted boot bench sits under a helmet shelf.
• Over-bonnet garage storage loft The unused space above the car bonnet, put to work: a sealed pine loft on four doubled posts with a plywood deck at 2.1m for bulky things, and underneath it five lidded totes that hang by their rims between plywood runners and slide out like drawers. The car noses in underneath; nothing lives on the floor.
