Wall-hung pot-lid rack
A 520mm-wide walnut rack for the wall beside the hob: three housed ledges, each with a back rail and a polished 12mm brass rod in front, so lids stand on edge nested two or three deep and lean back against the rail. Lids are the most awkward thing in a kitchen cupboard; here eight of them live flat to the wall in 90mm of depth, each one lifted off with one hand.
