Oat Craftsman wainscot with cherry plate ledge
A tall Craftsman wainscot for a dining room: wide flat stiles, a deep base rail and a frieze rail in oat-coloured paint on an MDF ground, topped at 1.47m by an oiled cherry plate ledge with a stop bead, carried on six cove-cut cherry corbels. Serving platters and the good plates live on the wall instead of in a cupboard, and the wainscot takes every chair-back knock below.
