Flip-top planer and spindle sander cart

One mustard-yellow cart for two benchtop machines: the planer bolts to one face of a pivoting platform and the spindle sander hangs upside down on the other, so pulling two indexing pins and swinging the top over swaps them in seconds. It parks in a 760 x 610mm footprint, with two deep drawers for knives, sleeves and drums underneath.

• Mobile mitre saw station A rolling mitre saw station painted deep navy: a drawer bank and a cupboard either side of a dropped saw bay with its own cupboard below, so the saw table sits dead level with birch work surfaces. Folding wings open it out to 2.9m, with maple fences, stop blocks and measuring tapes in line with the saw fence.
• Swing-arm planer workbench An oiled white oak and maple workbench whose planer lives on a parallelogram of maple arms: swung up, its bed sits dead level with the benchtop so the whole 1.8m bench becomes the infeed table; swung down, it tucks under the right-hand end and the top is clear again. A bottle-green drawer bank fills the left bay.
• French cleat tool wall A full wall of birch French cleats on a deep green backer, every holder movable: a shaker-door tool cupboard, maple chisel and screwdriver racks, a saw till, a plane shelf, a drill shelf, a hammer rack, a clamp rail, a peg board for squares and levels, and a low platform on the floor for power tool cases.
