Drill press station with swing-out wings

A safety-orange rolling stand that puts a benchtop drill press at a comfortable height over five bit drawers and a cupboard. Maple wings fold down flat against its sides and come up on swing-out arms, turning a 700mm stand into a 1.5m surface for long rails and panels.

• Oxblood garage cabinets A 3.6m wall of garage cabinets in deep oxblood with shaker doors and satin nickel bar pulls: two tall cupboards frame a run of drawers and cupboards under a 40mm oiled maple counter, with a cream pegboard backsplash and lit wall cupboards above.
• Outfeed and assembly table with clamp racks A 1.8 x 1.1m outfeed and assembly table set level with the saw, whose deep overhangs earn their keep: fourteen parallel clamps hang through slotted maple rails under the long sides and ten F-clamps under the ends, every clamp within reach of the glue-up on top. A graphite core holds jigs on open shelves on one face and eight drawers on the other.
• Fold-down garage workbench For a one-car garage: a 1.5m oak-edged worktop hinged to a ledger on two wall standards, standing on a fold-down leg frame when you need it and swinging up flat against the shallow pegboard cabinet above when the car comes home, so the whole workshop closes to 260mm off the wall. The pale sky-blue underside becomes the cabinet front.
