Cherry keepsake box with walnut splines
A cherry keepsake box sized for letters, photographs and a child's first shoes, its mitred corners locked with walnut splines that show as fine dark stripes. The lid is sawn from the same mitred box, so the grain runs unbroken over the joint line, and maple liners standing proud of the body seat the lid without a catch.
