Cherry alcove nook desk
A wall-to-wall cherry desk that turns a 1100mm alcove or a closet with its doors off into a study: a 32mm top on cleats with no legs to bang into, a drawer hung under one end, clear of your knees, an ink-plum backboard carrying a linen pinboard and two floating shelves with a warm light under the lower one. It uses the dead recess beside a chimney breast and leaves the room's floor exactly as it was.
