Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 19, 2026
Crava helps you design things to build yourself. This policy says what we collect when you use Crava - the website at crava.me and the Crava apps - why, who else handles it, and the choices you have. Crava is made by SpaceVox LLC ("we", "us"), 17583 Harpers Way, Conroe, Texas 77385, United States. Questions: [email protected].
The short version
- We collect what Crava needs to work: your account, the designs you make and the conversations you have with Crava's designer.
- Your descriptions and photos are sent to an AI model to design from. They are not used to train it.
- No advertising, no ad trackers, and we do not sell your information.
- Some links earn Crava a small commission, at no cost to you.
- You can delete your account, and everything in it, from inside Crava at any time.
What we collect
Your account
When you create an account we receive your name and email address - from you, or from Google if you sign in with Google. We keep a record that you signed in, and how much of your monthly design allowance you have used.
What you make
Your designs, their names, and whether you marked them built; the requests you type; and the conversation with Crava's designer for each design, so it can pick up where you left off. Saved designs are kept with your account so you can open them on any device.
Photos you choose to share
If you design from a photo, the photo is sent with your request to be read. A small copy is kept on your device beside the design, so you can see what inspired it.
On your device
Crava keeps some things in your browser's or phone's storage: your sign-in, designs you have opened recently, which panels you had open, your units, and steps you ticked off. This is not a tracking cookie and is not shared; clearing your browser's site data removes it.
Anonymous usage counts
So we know what is used - and can say in public how many designs have been made and built - Crava counts what happens in it: a design opened, a design asked for, plans printed, a build step ticked, a Shop link followed. Each count carries a random id made on your device, not linked to your account, and a few values from fixed lists (such as which featured design was opened, how many steps a build has, or which store a Shop link went to and whether it was for lumber or hardware). It never includes what you type, your designs' names or your photos. We keep the country your connection comes from and not your IP address. The counts are kept for about three months, in Cloudflare. To turn them off, switch on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser, or open any Crava link with ?notrack at the end; clearing your browser's site data removes the random id.
Shop links
The plans' "What to buy" list has Shop links beside each item: a search for it at a store such as Home Depot, Lowe's, Rockler or Amazon. Some links earn Crava a small commission, at no cost to you - they carry Crava's id in an affiliate program (Amazon Associates, and Impact and AvantLink for other stores), and the store or program may set its own cookies when you arrive, so it can tell the visit came from Crava. As an Amazon Associate, Crava earns from qualifying purchases. We never learn what you buy, and Crava sends the store nothing about you or your design; what happens on the store's site is under its own privacy policy.
What we do not collect
We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers, we do not track you across other sites, and we do not collect your precise location.
How we use it
- To run Crava: sign you in, design and check what you ask for, keep your designs, and show you your allowance.
- To keep Crava working and safe: preventing abuse, fixing faults, and enforcing the monthly allowance.
- To see which parts of Crava are used, and to publish totals such as how many designs have been made - from the anonymous counts above, never per person.
- To answer you when you write to us.
- We can see your account details, your plan, how much of your AI allowance you have used and whether something failed - so we can help when something goes wrong. We never look at what you design, write or upload.
We do not use your designs, requests or photos to train AI models, and we do not sell or rent your information.
Who handles it for us
Crava runs on services that process information on our behalf, under contracts that limit them to doing so:
- work.studio (the platform Crava runs on): accounts and sign-in, storage of your designs and conversations, access to the AI model, and keeping the anonymous usage counts.
- Anthropic (the AI model, Claude): receives your requests, the design being changed, and any photo you share, to design from them. Under its commercial terms it does not train on this.
- Cloudflare: delivers the website and app securely and quickly.
- Google: only if you choose "Sign in with Google".
- Stripe: only if you buy Crava Plus - it takes the payment and keeps your card and billing details, under its own privacy policy. Crava never sees your card number; we learn only which plan you have, when it renews or ends, and whether a payment went through.
- Amazon Web Services: hosts the platform's servers and storage.
We may disclose information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety, or as part of a sale or merger of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and designs until you delete them or your account. When you delete your account in Crava, your account, saved designs, conversations and files are deleted, and removed from backups within 30 days. Records we must keep by law are kept only as long as required.
Your choices and rights
- See and change: your name is in your account; your designs are in My designs.
- Delete: delete a design from My designs, or your whole account from the account menu.
- A copy, or anything else: write to [email protected]. Depending on where you live - for example in the EU, UK or California - you may have rights to access, correct, delete or move your information, or to object to how it is used. We will answer within the time the law sets, and will not treat you differently for asking.
Security
Information is encrypted in transit, and each person's designs and conversations are kept apart from everyone else's. No service is perfectly secure; if something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
Children
Crava is not for children under 13 (under 16 in the EU and UK), and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has an account, write to us and we will delete it.
Where it is processed
Crava is run from the United States, and your information is processed there. Where the law requires it, transfers from other countries are protected by standard contractual clauses.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in Crava or by email before it takes effect.
